Join us at our upcoming Family Digital Makers Day

CAFE Digital DayJoin us at our Family Digital Makers Day at the new Hillsborough College facilities on Saturday 12th March, 10:30 – 3:30. There will be lots of fun activities and support for entering the competition, as well as talks, demonstrations and eSafety sessions:

  • Meet Ada the NAO robot
  • Lego Mindstorm robots for beginners
  • Robot races with Sheffield Hallam University
  • Info, tips and hints on digital making and computing careers in Sheffield
  • Make your own app with App Inventor
  • Create your own computer game and controller in Scratch
  • Info, tips and hints on digital making and computing careers in —Sheffield
  • eSafety sessions for parents

Plus throughout the day there will be info and help to enter Code>Make>Win – don’t forget entries for final submissions are now open and there is a chance to win £75 plus lots of bonus prizes!

Please note, this is a family event. All young people need to come with a responsible adult aged 18 or over. Facilities and refreshments will be available for parents to relax – but there will also be an opportunity to join in and find out about digital making as well as specific sessions for parents on eSafety.
